Full Time Veterinary Surgeon – Tower Vets – York, North Yorkshire

We are looking for an enthusiastic, friendly Vet to join our amazing, caring, and helpful team here at Tower Veterinary Group, which is located in the beautiful city of York.

We have four surgeries, but you will be based at the main Surgery on Fulford Road where you will be well supported by all our staff, making you feel welcome and part of the team straight away.

Your working hours will be 40 hours a week, which is equivalent to 4 days working 8.30am-7pm and one day off in the week. Also, you will be on a Saturday rota which is 1 in 3 Saturday mornings (8.30am-12.30pm) – No OOH work is required making it a good work life balance, so you will have plenty of time to explore the beautiful, and historic city of York has to offer.

Starting salary – £35,000+

Full Time RVN – Tower Veterinary Group – Acomb Surgery, North Yorkshire

We are looking for an experienced RVN to support the growth and development of our Acomb Surgery this exciting opportunity is to be a part of a very enthusiastic team to develop the services we currently offer and more, we are looking to introduce nurse consultations and a strong nurse service to complement our resident vets.

Working hours : A 40 hour week 1:3 Saturday mornings, No OOH

Full-Time/Part Time Customer Care Coordinator (Receptionist)

We are always looking for brilliant people to join our already amazing reception team. Based at our branches in York and Knaresborough, our Customer Care Coordinators enjoy a fast-paced and rewarding environment within a wonderful team of people, with the bonus of meeting and greeting all the clients and their animals who visit our practice!

Types: Full-time/Part time, Permanent

Pay: £8.60-£11.44 per hour

Start Date: Flexible, to be discussed

Location:  We currently have a vacancy at our Fulford Road main site and our Haxby site, with all our team being able to offer support to our branches at Haxby, Acomb and Knaresborough if required.

 

The Role

Our customer care-coordinators are more than receptionists here at Tower, they are a vital part of the veterinary team who carry out all manner of tasks from taking customer phone calls, managing diaries and keeping our administration on track, to welcoming patients, helping them settle and supporting our clients through their veterinary journey. Multi-tasking and quick thinking is at the heart of what our team do and at times the role involves managing critical or unusual situations such as emergency calls or walk-ins. 

We have two vacancies currently available but suitable hours could be discussed for the correct candidate. The hours are between 8.00am and 7.00pm Monday to Friday, on a fixed rota basis, to be discussed, working a 1 in 4 Saturday morning rota until 12.30pm with Bank Holidays off. Additional cover for holidays and sickness will also be required alongside some flexibility at short notice, so please consider this before submitting your application.

Requirements

  • Schedule: Day shift + Overtime
  • York/ Knaresborough North Yorkshire: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
  • Education: GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
  • Experience: Customer service: (1 year minimum preferred)
  • Telephone, face to face and electronic communication experience is essential along with other administration capabilities. 
  • The ability to work well in a fast paced, sometimes pressurized, and ever-changing environment.
  • Driving License (preferred)
